The Cumberland Grads tried their best to erase a four-goal deficit, but the Smiths Falls Bears would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-3. Smiths Falls took a 4-0 lead during the third period, only to have Cumberland storm back on a Travis Douglas goal 16:03 into the third period to pull to one goal down. The Grads' power play was ineffective against the Bears' penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded. Smiths Falls was helped by Nic Marchand, who finished with one goal and one assist. Marchand scored 1:52 into the third period to make the score Smiths Falls. Brett Costello assisted on the tally. Smiths Falls additionally got points from Michael Buonincontri, who also registered one goal and one assist and Victor Beaulac, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Smiths Falls also got a goal from Alek Deblois as well. Other players who recorded assists for Smiths Falls were Neil Doef, who had two and Ryan Duhaime and Chris King, who contributed one a piece. The Bears were unable to stop Cumberland from sending pucks towards the net, and the Grads eventually piled up 37 shots on goal. The Bears incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Cumberland's Kevin Gollmer stopped 25 shots out of the 29 that he faced. The Grads incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
