A hat trick by Ryan Collins was the highlight in Senators' 4-2 win against the Brockville Braves. Collins got on the scoresheet 6:26 into the first period. He then added goals at 3:17 into the third and at 19:17 into the third.The Ottawa Senators pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 16 penalty minutes. Ottawa's offense rang up 37 shots on Brockville's net. Ottawa also got a goal from Joey Champigny as well. In addition, Ottawa received assists from Justin Charbonneau, who had one, Hunter Racine, who had two, and Deric Boudreau, who had three. The Braves were led by Sean King, who had one goal and one assist. King scored on the power play 5:20 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Brockville had gotten the advantage when the Senators' Nicholas Ford was sent off for tripping. Ryan Walter provided the assist. Nathan Todd also scored for Brockville. More assists for Brockville came via Jonathan Power, who had two. Alexandre Savard-Belanger made 18 saves for Ottawa on 20 shots. The Senators registered two goals on two power play opportunities. Andrew Pikul rejected 33 shots on goal for the Braves. Brockville incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
