Veronneau's hat trick boosts Gloucester over Kanata, 7-4Kanata Recreational Complex Tue, Dec 17, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Kanata Stallions could not stop the Gloucester Rangers' Maximian Veronneau, who tallied a hat trick in a 7-4 win. Veronneau notched his first tally 3:48 into the second period. He then added goals at 18:55 into the second and at 13:33 into the third.Gloucester stifled Kanata's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Rangers kept the Stallions' goalie busy throughout the game, and Cole Skinner made 33 saves on 40 shots. Gloucester bested its season scoring average. The Rangers have scored at the pace of 3.5 goals per game during the current campaign. Gloucester also got points from Connor McLaren, who also registered one goal and one assist, Trevor Dulong, who also had one goal and two assists, Vincent Guimond, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Michael DiBello, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Gloucester were T Beveridge, who had two and Nicolas Beaudin, Matt Rosebrook, Greg Jansz, Clark Veenstra, Ethon MacLean, Mitch Allen, and Matthieu Desautels, who contributed one a piece. Kanata's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Gloucester power plays. The Stallions' offense rang up 37 shots on Gloucester's net. Kanata was led by Nic LaBurn, who registered two goals. LaBurn scored the first of his two goals at 19:27 into the second period to make the score 4-3 Gloucester. Michael McGrath assisted on the tally. LaBurn's next tally made the score 4-4 with 18:57 left in the third period. Alex Robinson provided the assist. Kanata additionally got points from Kris Myllari, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Kanata also got a goal from Alex Stothart as well. More assists for Kanata came via Derian Plouffe, Ian Johnson, Ben Fanjoy, and Devin Fullum, who each chipped in one. Nate Skidmore made 33 saves for the Rangers on 37 shots. Gloucester incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Stallions incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
