Stephen Cooney finished with one point to lead the Carleton Place Canadians to a 4-1 victory over the Pembroke Lumber Kings. Evan Peterson also scored for Carleton Place. More assists for Carleton Place came via Luke Edwards and Craig Pefley, who contributed one a piece and Larry Smith, Brett DAndrea, and Kelly Summers, who each chipped in two. Pembroke's offense operated below it season average. The Lumber Kings put an average of 3.5 pucks into the net per game. Pembroke was led by Trent Durocher, who scored the team's only goal. Durocher scored on the power play 5:54 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Carleton Place. The Lumber Kings earned a power play opportunity when Andrew Dodson was put in the box for tripping. Jordan Larson provided the assist. Guillaume Therien made 22 saves for Carleton Place on 23 shots. The Canadians incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Pembroke's Darren Smith stopped 14 shots out of the 18 that he faced. The Lumber Kings totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and one major and went 1-for-5 on the power play. For Pembroke, Larson was ejected from the game.
