Andrew Pikul had a standout game with 35 saves, and the Brockville Braves beat the Cumberland Grads 3-1.

Brockville was led by Ryan Cusin, who tallied one goal and one assist. Cusin scored 19:01 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Brockville. Andrew Peski provided the assist.

Cumberland was unable to stop the Braves from sending pucks towards the net, and Brockville eventually piled up 37 shots on goal.

Others who scored for Brockville included Sean King and Ryan Walter, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Brockville were Anthony Walsh, who had two and Jonathan Power and Hayden Hulton, who contributed one a piece.

The Grads forced the Braves goalie Pikul to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots.

Cumberland was led by Matthew Morin, who scored the team's only goal. Morin scored on the power play 17:58 into the second period to make the score 1-1. A hooking penalty on Eric Israel had put the Grads on the power play. David Bennett assisted on the tally.

Brockville totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 1-for-3 on the power play. For the Braves, Walter was ejected from the game. Reilly Turner recorded 34 saves for Cumberland. The Grads totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 1-for-4 on the power play. Cumberland ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Brett Faber was ejected from the game.
