Jordan Larson finished with one point to lead the Pembroke Lumber Kings to a 3-1 victory over the Kanata Stallions. Pembroke excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Lumber Kings' offense rang up 31 shots on Kanata's net. Pembroke also had goals scored by Tye Felhaer and Stephan Beauvais, who each put in one. More assists for Pembroke came via Colin Kruse, who had two and Reid Murphy, Mark Petaccio, Trent Durocher, and Patrice Wren, who each chipped in one. The Stallions did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Kanata averages 3.5 goals per game. The Stallions were led by Connor Cobbold, who scored the team's only goal. Cobbold scored 2:23 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Kanata. Daniele Disipio picked up the assist. Pembroke's Sean Keating stopped 23 shots out of the 24 that he faced. The Lumber Kings incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Cole Skinner rejected 28 shots on goal for Kanata. The Stallions ended with 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors and two majors. Kanata ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Kasey Kulczycki was ejected from the game.
