The Carleton Place Canadians were firing on all cylinders against the Brockville Braves, and when the final buzzer sounded Canadians emerged with a 5-2 win. Carleton Place's penalty kill excelled, as the Canadians gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays. Carleton Place was led by Evan Peterson, who registered one goal and one assist. Peterson scored on the power play 18:56 into the first period to make the score 3-0 Carleton Place. The Canadians had taken the advantage when Brockville's Lucas Linville got sent off for roughing. Andy Sturtz assisted on the tally. Carleton Place stifled the Braves' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Canadians forced Brockville goalie Andrew Pikul to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots. Carleton Place additionally got points from Stephen Cooney, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Carleton Place also had goals scored by Adam Lloyd, Craig Pefley, and Stephen Bayliss, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Carleton Place were Rowan Savidant, who had two and Larry Smith, Tyson Stewart, Vinny Post, and Brett DAndrea, who each chipped in one. The Braves kept Carleton Place's goalie busy throughout the game, and Justin Laforest made 32 saves on 34 shots. The Canadians incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. For Carleton Place, Jim Roll was ejected from the game. Brockville's Pikul stopped 26 shots out of the 31 that he faced. The Braves incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
