The Hawkesbury Hawks' Carl Faucher scored 3:36 into overtime to beat the Pembroke Lumber Kings, 6-5 (OT). Hawkesbury came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Hawks fell behind 5-3 after a goal by Pembroke's Fraser Turner at 13:56 in the second period. Hawkesbury knotted things up at 5-5 on a goal by Yanik Laliberte at 13:59 in the third period. The Hawks got the win behind a great game by Faucher, who had one goal and three assists. Hawkesbury surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, the Hawks average 2.6 goals per contest. Hawkesbury also got points from Zach Car, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Jonathan Cyr, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Francis Landers, who also tallied one goal and two assists, and Laliberte, who also had two goals and two assists. In addition, Hawkesbury received assists from Daniel Brickley and Nicholas Legault, who contributed one a piece. The Lumber Kings struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as they finished the game with 24 penalty minutes for 10 opposing power plays. Hawkesbury's starting goalie, Matthew Jenkins, made 19 saves and finished with the win before he was taken out in favor of Cory Simic, who stopped zero shots. The Hawks incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Sean Keating took the otl and made nine saves before being replaced by Darren Smith who made 11 saves. Pembroke registered two goals on five power play opportunities.
