Hawkesbury falls to Gloucester in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Greg Jansz gave the Gloucester Rangers a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Hawkesbury Hawks when he scored 53 seconds into the extra period.

Gloucester's offense rang up 44 shots on Hawkesbury's net.

In addition, Gloucester received assists from Zak Salloum and Matthieu Desautels, who contributed one a piece and Connor McLaren and Maximian Veronneau, who each chipped in two.

The Hawks' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Gloucester power plays. Hawkesbury kept the Rangers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Nate Skidmore made 32 saves on 34 shots.

The Hawks were helped by Yanik Laliberte, who had one goal. Laliberte scored 16:21 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Carl Faucher provided the assist. Zach Car also scored for Hawkesbury. Other players who recorded assists for Hawkesbury were Daniel Brickley, who had one.

Gloucester incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Hawkesbury's Matthew Jenkins stopped 41 shots out of the 44 that he faced. The Hawks incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
