The Carleton Place Canadians gutted out a close 4-2 win against the Cornwall Colts. Carleton Place gained the winning advantage on a goal by Andy Sturtz 1:46 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer. The Canadians were led by Sturtz, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Carleton Place forced Cornwall goalie Jordan Piccolino to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots. Larry Smith also scored for Carleton Place. Other players who recorded assists for Carleton Place were Jim Roll, Devin Campbell, Brett Everson, Luke Edwards, Kelly Summers, and Evan Peterson, who contributed one a piece. The Colts were helped by Antonio Roumeliotis, who had one goal. Roumeliotis scored 12:55 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Ryan Patulli provided the assist. Cornwall also got a goal from Dean Derouchie as well. In addition, Cornwall received assists from Marly Quince and Pierre Ouellette, who each chipped in one. Guillaume Therien rejected 18 shots on goal for the Canadians. Carleton Place incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Piccolino recorded 36 saves for Cornwall. The Colts incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
