The Cornwall Colts was within striking distance after one period, but the Smiths Falls Bears put the pedal down in the second en route to a 6-2 victory.

Karson McCartney was all over the ice for Smiths Falls, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. McCartney scored short handed 7:38 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Smiths Falls. The Bears were on a disadvantage when Chris MacMillan went off the ice for holding. Brandon Lesway assisted on the tally.

Smiths Falls pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 12 penalty minutes.

The Bears excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. Smiths Falls surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Bears have scored at the pace of 3.6 goals per game during the current campaign.

Smiths Falls also got points from Lesway, who also tallied one goal and two assists and Victor Beaulac, who also registered one goal and one assist. Alek Deblois also scored for Smiths Falls. In addition, Smiths Falls received assists from Daniel Lombardi, who had three and Brett Costello, Taylor Henry, and Zachary Senyshyn, who contributed one a piece.

Michael Pinios rejected 26 shots on goal for Smiths Falls. The Bears registered two goals on four power play opportunities. Jordan Piccolino took the loss and made eight saves before being replaced by James Edwardson who made nine saves. Cornwall incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
