Kemptville downs Cornwall, 4-1North Grenville Municipal 1 Sun, Nov 10, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
Matt Tugnutt had two points to lead the Kemptville 73s to a 4-1 victory over the Cornwall Colts. Kemptville's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Cornwall power plays. Cornwall was unable to stop the 73s from sending pucks towards the net, and Kemptville eventually piled up 39 shots on goal. Kemptville additionally got points from C Quinn, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Kemptville also got a goal from Aaron Hickie as well. In addition, Kemptville received assists from Quinn Wichers, Jonathon Masters, Cody Hendsbee, and Jesse Blais, who contributed one a piece. The Colts stifled the 73s' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Cornwall was led by Sean King, who scored the team's only goal. King scored 11:21 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Kemptville's Jacob Tugnutt stopped 19 shots out of the 20 that he faced. The 73s incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. James Edwardson made 35 saves for the Colts on 38 shots. Cornwall incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
