Smiths Falls boosted by Hodgins' play in net, beats Kanata 6-3Kanata Recreational Complex Tue, Nov 05, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Smiths Falls Bears relied on the sparkling performance of Nicholas Hodgins in net to grab a 6-3 win against the Kanata Stallions. Kanata was stymied by Smiths Falls netminder Hodgins, who stopped 26 shots during the victory. Hodgins managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 3.53 prior to the game. The Bears' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Kanata power plays. Smiths Falls forced the Stallions goalie Gunner Rivers to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots. The Bears' goal total was higher than their season average. Smiths Falls averages 3.4 goals per game. The Bears were led by Daniele Disipio, who registered one goal and two assists. Disipio scored 8:24 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Smiths Falls. Karson McCartney picked up the assist. Smiths Falls also got points from Stefano Momesso, who also grabbed two goals and one assist. Michael McKenney also scored for Smiths Falls.
