The Carleton Place Canadians tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Hawkesbury Hawks would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-2. Hawkesbury took a 3-1 lead during the third period, only to have Carleton Place storm back on a Brett DAndrea goal 10:46 into the third period to pull to one goal down. The Hawks were sparked by Zach Car, who had one goal. Car scored 1:11 into the third period to make the score Hawkesbury. CJ Stubbs provided the assist. Hawkesbury also got a goal from Trent Durocher as well. Other players who recorded assists for Hawkesbury were Francois Lemelin, who had two and David Higgs and Nicolas Vlahos, who each chipped in one. The Canadians did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Carleton Place averages 4.4 goals per game. The Canadians were led by Evan Peterson, who had one goal and one assist.
