Gadoury's big game bests Cumberland in 5-3 Nepean win

Behind a great game by Philippe Gadoury, who had two goals and two assists, the Nepean Raiders defeated the Cumberland Grads, 5-3.

Gadoury's tallies came at 4:43 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Nepean and 17:05 into the third to make the score 4-3 Nepean.

Nepean additionally got points from Felix Page, who also had one goal and three assists and Brandon Watt, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Nepean also got a goal from Keenan Hodgson as well. In addition, Nepean received assists from Jesse Ferras, Christopher Smith, Conner Judson, and Ryan Mulder, who each chipped in one.

Nepean was unable to stop Cumberland from sending pucks towards the net, and the Grads eventually piled up 41 shots on goal.

Cumberland was helped by Mark Golberg, who tallied one goal and one assist. Golberg scored 5:07 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Cumberland. Matthew Dupont provided the assist. Cumberland also got points from Dupont, who also registered one goal and one assist. Jean-Gabriel Lacombe also scored for Cumberland. More assists for Cumberland came via Travis Douglas, who had two and Tyler Pancel and Maxime St.Pierre, who contributed one a piece.

The Raiders' Mulder stopped 38 shots out of the 41 that he faced. Nepean incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors and had no power play opportunities. Reilly Turner recorded 24 saves for the Grads. Cumberland avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored one goal off of two power plays.
