The Kanata Stallions could not stop the Carleton Place Canadians' Stephen Bayliss, who tallied a hat trick in a 9-5 win.

Bayliss got on the scoresheet 5:58 into the first period. He then added goals at 12:27 into the first and at 11:38 into the third.

Carleton Place made Stallions' goaltenders to work without much rest, racking up 43 shots and forcing 34 saves. Gunner Rivers made 27 stops and Cole Skinner made seven. The Canadians outdid their season average for goals scored. Carleton Place averages 4.4 goals per game. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Derian Plouffe assisted on the tally. LaBurn's next tally on the power play made the score 5-3 Carleton Place with 10:24 left in the second period. Plouffe picked up the assist. Kanata also got points from Plouffe, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. Alex Stothart also scored for Kanata.
