Cornwall boosted by Edwardson's play in net, beats Gloucester 4-1Ed Lumley Arena Thu, Oct 17, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
A stellar performance between the pipes by James Edwardson helped the Cornwall Colts defeat the Gloucester Rangers, 4-1. Cornwall was paced by Kenny Nelson, who tallied one goal. Nelson scored 9:06 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Cornwall. Pierre Ouellette picked up the assist. The Colts' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Gloucester power plays. Cornwall's offense rang up 40 shots on Gloucester's net. Cal Hofford also scored for Cornwall. Other players who recorded assists for Cornwall were Lawson MacDonald, who had two and Ross Craig, Tanner Spink, Billy Ulrick, and Chase Pearson, who each chipped in one. The Rangers were led by Matt Rosebrook, who scored the team's only goal. Rosebrook scored 1:12 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Cornwall. Maximian Veronneau assisted on the tally. James Edwardson made 26 saves for the Colts on 27 shots. Cornwall incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Doug Johnston rejected 36 shots on goal for Gloucester. The Rangers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
