Nepean falls to Brockville in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Brockville Braves pulled out a 3-2 (OT) overtime victory over the Nepean Raiders on a clutch goal by Shane Riddell.

Brockville came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Braves fell behind 2-0 after a power play goal by Nepean's Francesco Iannantuono at 2:25 in the third period. Brockville knotted things up at 2-2 on a goal by Nathan Todd at 16:39 in the third period.

The Braves were paced by Riddell, who finished with one goal. Riddell scored 19 seconds into overtime to make the score 3-2 Brockville. Jonathan Power assisted on the tally.

Brockville forced the Raiders goalie Ryan Mulder to work between the pipes, taking 54 shots. The Braves were hit hard by penalties in the contest, and totaled eight minors and two majors for 26 minutes in penalty time.

Brockville also got points from Todd, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Brockville also got a goal from Ethan Weiss as well. In addition, Brockville received assists from Eric Israel and Hayden Hulton, who contributed one a piece.

Nepean was often in penalty trouble, totaling 12 minors and one major for 29 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 20.0 minutes per game the Raiders had been spending in the box.

Jody Sullivan also scored for Nepean. Other players who recorded assists for Nepean were Keenan Hodgson, Mitchell Herlihey, Philippe Gadoury, and Jesse Ferras, who each chipped in one.

Andrew Pikul rejected 24 shots on goal for Brockville. The Braves registered one goal on eight power play opportunities. Team's Matthew Lourenco and Ryan Cusin were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game. Mulder recorded 51 saves for Nepean. The Raiders registered two goals on seven power play opportunities. For Nepean, Sullivan was ejected from the game.
