Craig Pefley netted a hat trick to lead the Carleton Place Canadians over the Nepean Raiders, 7-2. Pefley notched his first tally 1:55 into the first period. He then added goals at 10:45 into the second and at 13:52 into the third.Carleton Place led by only one goal at the end of the first period, but put the game away by scoring three goals in the second. The Canadians racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with 10 minors and one major for 25 minutes in penalty time. Carleton Place had been averaging 20.0 minutes in penalties per game. Nepean was unable to stop the Canadians from sending pucks towards the net, and Carleton Place eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. The Canadians' goal total was higher than their season average. Carleton Place has scored at the pace of 4.2 goals per game during the current campaign. Carleton Place additionally got points from Brett DAndrea, who also racked up one goal and two assists and Evan Peterson, who also registered one goal and two assists. Brett Everson also scored for Carleton Place. In addition, Carleton Place received assists from Andrew Dodson, who had one, Larry Smith, who had two, Kelly Summers, who had three, and Andy Sturtz, who had four. The Raiders ended with 19 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and one major. Nepean ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Tanner Williams was ejected from the game.
