Carleton Place squeaks by Kanata, 3-2

The game between the Carleton Place Canadians and the Kanata Stallions was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Carleton Place emerged with a 3-2 win.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Evan Peterson at 18:56 of the second period.

The Canadians were led by Peterson, who had one goal.

Tyson Stewart also scored for Carleton Place. Other players who recorded assists for Carleton Place were Larry Smith, Jim Roll, Andy Sturtz, Brett DAndrea, Anthony McVeigh, and Craig Pefley, who each chipped in one.

Kanata was helped by Devin Fullum, who registered one goal. Fullum scored 12:06 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Carleton Place. Kris Myllari picked up the assist. Kanata also got a goal from Derian Plouffe as well. More assists for Kanata came via JP Langlois, who had one.

Justin Laforest recorded 18 saves for Carleton Place. The Canadians incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Brayden St-Germain made 26 saves for the Stallions on 29 shots. Kanata incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
