Gadoury leads Nepean over Kemptville, 6-3Nepean Sportsplex Rink 1 Sun, Sep 22, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
Philippe Gadoury was all over the ice for the Nepean Raiders, as he tallied two goals and two assists in Nepean's 6-3 win over the Kemptville 73s. Gadoury found the back of the net 16:28 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Nepean and again while on the power play 14:37 into the third to make the score 5-2 Nepean.Kemptville's 12 penalties came back to haunt it, as the 73s let up four goals while on the penalty kill. The the Raiders penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled nine minors and one major for 23 minutes in penalty time. Nepean surpassed its season average of 20.0 penalty minutes per game. The Raiders put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Kemptville to score on any of its six power plays. Nepean's goal total was higher than its season average. This season, the Raiders average 3.6 goals per contest. Nepean also got points from Francesco Iannantuono, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Chris Johnson, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Felix Page also scored for Nepean. In addition, Nepean received assists from David Chiarelli, Tanner Williams, and Josh Zizek, who contributed one a piece and Keenan Hodgson and Michael Vered, who each chipped in two. The 73s forced Nepean goalie Ryan Mulder to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots. Kemptville was hit hard by penalties in the contest, and totaled 10 minors and two majors for 30 minutes in penalty time. The 73s were led by Dylan Giberson, who tallied one goal and one assist. Giberson scored 2:35 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Hayden Hanson assisted on the tally. Kemptville also got a goal from Dean Galasso as well. Other players who recorded assists for Kemptville were Matt Martin, who had one and Brandon Seatter, who had two. The Raiders' Mulder stopped 29 shots out of the 32 that he faced. For Nepean, Alexander Sifton and Ryan J Robertson were ejected from the contest. Jacob Lucier made 23 saves for Kemptville on 29 shots. Team's Cody Hendsbee and Ben St Marseille were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
