Cornwall holds on for 2-1 win against Gloucester

The Gloucester Rangers tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Cornwall Colts would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 2-1.

Cornwall took a 2-0 lead during the third period, only to have Gloucester storm back on a Zak Salloum goal 8:58 into the third period to pull to one goal down.

Tanner Spink had a great game for the Colts, netting two goals.

Cornwall's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Gloucester power plays.

More assists for Cornwall came via Ross Craig, Grant Cooper, Billy Ulrick, and Antonio Roumeliotis, who contributed one a piece.

The Rangers forced the Colts goalie James Edwardson to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots.

James Edwardson made 31 saves for Cornwall on 32 shots. The Colts incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Gloucester's Danick Boisvert stopped 26 shots out of the 28 that he faced. The Rangers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
