Kanata downs Pembroke, 4-1Kanata Recreational Complex Tue, Sep 17, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
Devin Fullum tallied two points to lead the Kanata Stallions to a 4-1 victory over the Pembroke Lumber Kings. Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 10:02 into the second period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts. Kanata's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Pembroke power plays. Kanata additionally got points from Jason Brochu, who also had one goal and one assist. Kanata also got a goal from Nic LaBurn as well. In addition, Kanata received assists from Braedan Moffatt and Alex Stothart, who each chipped in one and Derian Plouffe and Hubert Pare-Seguin, who contributed two a piece. Pembroke was led by Ryan Erickson, who scored the team's only goal. Erickson scored 7:33 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Kanata. Blake Peavey assisted on the tally. Cole Skinner rejected 22 shots on goal for the Stallions. Kanata totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and one major and went 1-for-4 on the power play. For the Stallions, Kasey Kulczycki was ejected from the game. Nate Skidmore made 22 saves for the Lumber Kings on 26 shots. Pembroke ended with 19 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and one major. For the Lumber Kings, Darcy Haines and Keegan Harper were ejected from the contest.
