BC Junior Canucks stifles Saskatchewan Jr. Pats' comeback, gains 5-3 victory

BC Junior Canucks, which led by three goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by BC Junior Canucks and clinched a 5-3 victory.

BC Junior Canucks led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when BC Junior Canucks' Carson Latimer's scored at 11:02 in the first period to put BC Junior Canucks up 3-0.

BC Junior Canucks forced Saskatchewan Jr. Pats' netminders to work without much rest, launching 32 shots and forcing 27 saves. Brett Mirwald made 23 stops and Drayden Ramage made four.

BC Junior Canucks was helped by Tyson Galloway, who grabbed one goal. Galloway scored 9:21 into the second period to make the score 4-3 BC Junior Canucks. BC Junior Canucks also got a goal from Jake Boden as well. In addition, BC Junior Canucks received assists from Jakob Sherwood, Tyler Schweitzer, Michael Abgrall, and Trevor Baron, who contributed one a piece.

Saskatchewan Jr. Pats was led by Cole Sillinger, who had one goal and two assists. Sillinger scored 3:28 into the second period to make the score 3-2 BC Junior Canucks. Ashton Ferster picked up the assist. Saskatchewan Jr. Pats also got points from Redmond Savage, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Ferster, who also finished with one goal and one assist.

BC Junior Canucks took out Tussak Christie after he had made eight saves and installed Mason Dunsford in goal, where he finished with 11 saves and the win. BC Junior Canucks finished the contest with no penalties and went 0-for-0 with the man advantage. Saskatchewan Jr. Pats avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of zero power plays.
