C.H. Lucius' goals lift Team Minnesota to 4-1 victory over Detroit Red Wings

Chaz C.H. Lucius had two goals to lead Team Minnesota to a 4-1 victory over Detroit Red Wings.

C.H. Lucius scored at 3:51 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Team Minnesota and again while 1:47 into the second to make the score 2-0 Team Minnesota.

Team Minnesota put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Detroit Red Wings to score on any of its four power plays.

Team Minnesota also got a goal from Carter Batchelder as well. More assists for Team Minnesota came via Damon Furuseth, who had two and Jackson Blake, Maxwell Burkholder, and Luke Roelofs, who each chipped in one.

Detroit Red Wings' offense was handcuffed by Team Minnesota's defensive play, and Detroit Red Wings managed only 14 shots on goal during the game.

Detroit Red Wings was led by Seth Ferguson, who scored the team's only goal. Ferguson scored 2:45 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Team Minnesota. Tommy Madden provided the assist.

Team Minnesota's starting goalie, Anton Castro, made 11 saves and finished with the win before he was taken out in favor of Matthew Syverson, who stopped two shots. Team Minnesota incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors and had no power play opportunities. Ryan Piros rejected 20 shots on goal for Detroit Red Wings.
