Team OMHA White stifles Team OMHA Black's comeback, gains 4-2 victory

Team OMHA White, which led by three goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by Team OMHA White and clinched a 4-2 victory.

Team OMHA White led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Team OMHA White's Austin Gerhart's scored at 16:03 in the first period to put Team OMHA White up 3-0.

Team OMHA White stifled Team OMHA Black's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Team OMHA White could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game.

Team OMHA White also got points from Adam Craievich, who also registered one goal and one assist. Andrew Bums also scored for Team OMHA White. More assists for Team OMHA White came via Kyle Capobianco, Matt Spencer, Jesse Barwell, Adam Laishram, and Brett McKenzie, who contributed one a piece.

Team OMHA Black could not produce up to it normal offensive output. Team OMHA Black averages 4.2 goals per game. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. Team OMHA Black could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 40 minutes in penalties during the game.

Team OMHA Black was helped by McFadden Garrett, who had one goal. Garrett scored 4:18 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Team OMHA White. Bryce Yetman assisted on the tally. Team OMHA Black also got a goal from Mitchell Kreis as well. In addition, Team OMHA Black received assists from Michael Davies, who had two.

Zach Bowman took the win and made 11 saves before being replaced by Evan Cormier who made eight saves. Team OMHA White registered two goals on eight power play opportunities. Team OMHA Black's McNiven Michael stopped 22 shots out of the 26 that he faced. Team OMHA Black registered zero goals on three power play opportunities.
