Team GTHL Royal took the lead against Team GTHL Red in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 3-1 victory.

Team GTHL Royal took over the lead for good with a goal by Adrian Carbonara at 11:06 in the first period. Patrick Fellows assisted on the tally.

Ashur Elliot had two goals to lead Team GTHL Royal to victory. Elliot found the back of the net on the power play 18:30 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Team GTHL Royal and again while on the power play 1:24 into the third to make the score 3-1 Team GTHL Royal.

Team GTHL Royal's penalty kill excelled, as Team GTHL Royal gave up one goal despite allowing seven power plays.

Team GTHL Red was unable to stop Team GTHL Royal from sending pucks towards the net, and Team GTHL Royal eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. Team GTHL Royal had trouble converting on the power play advantage, managing just two goals on 11 chances. Team GTHL Royal's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Team GTHL Royal finished with 56 penalty minutes.

Team GTHL Royal also got a goal from David Zeppieri as well. More assists for Team GTHL Royal came via Jacob Hayhurst, who had two and Mitchell Marner and Ryan Hunt, who each chipped in one.
