Wenatchee clinches tight 1-0 victory against Fairbanks

The game between the Wenatchee Wild and the Fairbanks Ice Dogs proved to be an even match, as Wenatchee took home the victory by scoring only once in a 1-0 win.

David Mead's tally was assisted by Noah Nelson and Joseph Sullivan.

The win gave the Wild a 1-0 lead in the best of five series.

Wenatchee was paced by Mead, who registered one goal. Mead scored 17:49 into the third period to make the score 1-0 Wenatchee. Nelson provided the assist.

The Wild relied on a core group of players for most of their offense, as Dylan Abood, Jono Davis and Nathan Flynn took 10 of the team's 17 shots.

Fairbanks was led by Jacob Hetz, who took three shots.

Robert Nichols made 18 saves for Wenatchee on 18 shots. The Wild incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Ice Dogs' Steve Perry stopped 16 shots out of the 17 that he faced. Fairbanks incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
