Scott Conway racked up one point to lead the Texas Tornado to a 2-1 victory over the Topeka RoadRunners. After the loss made the series score 2-0 in the best of five series, Topeka faces elimination next time out. Texas put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the RoadRunners to score on any of their four power plays. The Tornado relied on a core group of players for most of their offense, as Andrew Mayer, Jason Eddy and Conway took nine of the team's 17 shots. CJ Reuschlein also scored for Texas. Other players who recorded assists for Texas were Max Shuart and elexie solovyev, who each chipped in one. Topeka excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The RoadRunners were led by Kyle Sharkey, who scored the team's only goal. Sharkey scored 19:23 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Topeka. Sean Gaffney assisted on the tally. Hunter Leisner recorded 24 saves for Texas. The Tornado incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Topeka's Spencer Viele stopped 15 shots out of the 17 that he faced. The RoadRunners incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
