Jacob Davidson grabbed one point to lead the Kenai River Brown Bears to a 2-1 victory over the Fairbanks Ice Dogs. After the loss made the series score 2-1 in the best of five series, Fairbanks faces elimination next time out. Kenai River forced the Ice Dogs goalie Steve Perry to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots. The Brown Bears' defensemen were a huge part of the offense, scoring two goals and taking 15 shots. Vincent Stefan also scored for Kenai River. More assists for Kenai River came via Alec Butcher, Brad Duwe, Alex Jackstadt, and Zac Lazzaro, who each chipped in one. Fairbanks excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. The Ice Dogs were led by Jayson Angus, who scored the team's only goal. Angus scored 1:37 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Fairbanks. Kyle Lee picked up the assist. Kenai River's Marcus Zelzer stopped 23 shots out of the 24 that he faced. The Brown Bears incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Steve Perry made 33 saves for Fairbanks on 35 shots. The Ice Dogs incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
