Kyle Lee had one point to lead the Fairbanks Ice Dogs to a 3-1 victory over the Kenai River Brown Bears. The win gave Fairbanks a 1-0 lead in the best of five series. Fairbanks also got a goal from Jakob Romo as well. More assists for Fairbanks came via Garret Clemment, Taylor Munson, Nick Hinz, and Devin Loe, who each chipped in one. Kenai River was led by Brad LeLievre, who scored the team's only goal. LeLievre scored 9:38 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Fairbanks. Conor Deal provided the assist. The Ice Dogs' Steve Perry stopped 24 shots out of the 25 that he faced. Fairbanks totaled 21 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 1-for-1 on the power play. Marcus Zelzer made 19 saves for the Brown Bears on 21 shots. Kenai River totaled nine minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play.
