The Amarillo Bulls, who led by three goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by Amarillo and clinched a 5-3 victory. The Bulls led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. Other players who recorded assists for Amarillo were Brady Ferguson, who had three and Garret Peterson, Gage Christianson, and Omar Mullan, who contributed one a piece. The IceRays relied on a core group of players for most of their offense, as Rudy Sulmonde, Emil Romig and Grant Hutton took 15 of the team's 25 shots. Brandon Berkley also scored for Corpus Christi. In addition, Corpus Christi received assists from John Roisum and Michael Economos, who each chipped in one. Paul Berrafato recorded 22 saves for the Bulls. Amarillo totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-6 on the power play. Corpus Christi's Stewart stopped 36 shots out of the 41 that he faced. The IceRays totaled 39 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and one major and went 2-for-4 on the power play.
