Behind a great game by Brady Ferguson, who had two goals, the Amarillo Bulls defeated the Corpus Christi IceRays, 6-3. Ferguson scored at 6:52 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Amarillo and again while 7:13 into the first to make the score 2-0 Amarillo.With the win, Amarillo evened the series at 1-1 in the best of five showdown. The Bulls pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 25 penalty minutes. Amarillo's offense rang up 48 shots on Corpus Christi's net. Amarillo also got points from Dan McNamara, who also tallied one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and Hampus Gustafsson, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Gage Christianson also scored for Amarillo. Other players who recorded assists for Amarillo were John Rey, Tyler Deresky, and TJ Sarcona, who contributed one a piece and Geoff Fortman, Blake Roubos, and Clint Carlisle, who each chipped in two. The IceRays were helped by AJ Jarosz, who had two goals. Jarosz scored the first of his two goals at 8:19 into the third period to make the score 5-2 Amarillo. Michael Economos provided the assist. Jarosz's next tally made the score 5-3 Amarillo with 7:27 left in the third period. Corpus Christi earned a power play opportunity when Gustafsson was put in the box for tripping. Beau Walker picked up the assist. Corpus Christi additionally got points from Perry DArrisso, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points.
