The Austin Bruins' Cody Dixon scored 7:02 into overtime to beat the Minot Minotauros, 3-2 (OT). After the loss made the series score 2-1 in the best of five series, Minot faces elimination next time out. Austin was led by Dixon, who had one goal. The Bruins excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Austin's offense rang up 37 shots on the Minotauros' net. Austin also got points from AJ Reid, who also registered one goal and one assist. John Simonson also scored for Austin. Other players who recorded assists for Austin were Jay Dickman, who had two and Michael Bond and Chris Fischer, who contributed one a piece. Minot kept the Bruins' goalie busy throughout the game, and Nicholas Lehr made 31 saves on 33 shots. The Minotauros were helped by Lucas Oliver, who tallied one goal. Oliver scored 1:28 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Minot. Cameron Rowat assisted on the tally. Minot also got a goal from Wesley Iverson as well. More assists for Minot came via Collin Abitz and Cody Milligan, who each chipped in one. Austin totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 1-for-3 on the power play. Tyler Parks rejected 34 shots on goal for Minot. The Minotauros incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
