The London Nationals had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-1 win over the Chatham Maroons. The win by London broke a deadlock and gave the Nationals a 2-1 advantage in the best of seven series. Chatham was stymied by London netminder Taylor Edwards, who stopped 41 shots during the victory. Edwards certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.46 entering the contest. The Maroons' power play was ineffective against the Nationals' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 8:50 into the first period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts. London stifled Chatham's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Nationals' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in three goals. London was helped by Matt Fuller, who tallied one goal. Fuller scored on the power play 18:53 into the first period to make the score 2-0 London. A hooking penalty on Blake Blondeel had put the Nationals on the power play. Aaron Dartch assisted on the tally. London also got points from Ryan Wells, who also racked up one goal and two assists. London also got a goal from Noah Schwartz as well. Other players who recorded assists for London were Tyler Bryden, Scott Lombardi, and Derek Todosichuk, who each chipped in one. London was unable to stop the Maroons from sending pucks towards the net, and Chatham eventually piled up 42 shots on goal. The Maroons were led by Nate Pietens, who scored the team's only goal. Pietens scored 7:20 into the second period to make the score 2-1 London. Brayden Hopkins picked up the assist. The Nationals totaled 47 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors and one major and went 2-for-5 on the power play. For London, Lance Pridham and Ryan Tuffin were ejected from the contest. Darien Ekblad made 25 saves for Chatham on 28 shots. The Maroons ended with 55 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors and one major. For Chatham, Connor Doran was ejected from the game.
