Lucas Machalski recorded a shutout against the Stratford Cullitons as the Cambridge Winter Hawks picked up a 4-0 win. The win by Cambridge clinched the best of seven series at 4-1. The Winter Hawks were led by Todd Bannermon, who registered one goal and one assist. Bannermon scored 7:03 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Cambridge. Chris Taylor picked up the assist. Cambridge excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Winter Hawks' offense rang up 31 shots on Stratford's net. Others who scored for Cambridge included Mitch Klie, who had one and Cody Gratton, who had two. Other players who recorded assists for Cambridge were Hudson Michaelis, Christian Barnard, Tyler Snyder, Brennon Pearce, and Trevor Hache, who contributed one a piece. Machalski rejected 30 shots on goal for Cambridge. The Winter Hawks incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Cullitons' Nick Caldwell stopped 27 shots out of the 31 that he faced. Stratford incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
