St. Michaels downs North York in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The St. Michaels Buzzers' Jordan Merante scored 7:46 into overtime to beat the North York Rangers, 4-3 (OT).

The win by St. Michaels clinched the best of seven series at 4-2.

The Buzzers overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. St. Michaels trailed 2-0 after a goal by North York's John Carpino at 15:09 in the second period. The Buzzers tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by Dana Tenenbaum at 10:16 in the third period.

Merante had two goals to lead St. Michaels to victory.

The Rangers were unable to stop the Buzzers from sending pucks towards the net, and St. Michaels eventually piled up 51 shots on goal.

St. Michaels also got points from Cody Doiron, who also registered one goal and one assist. St. Michaels also got a goal from Troy Josephs as well. More assists for St. Michaels came via Patrick McCarron, who had one, Matt Galati, who had two, and Shane Conacher, who had three.

North York's offense rang up 58 shots on the Buzzers' net.

Franco Loparco also scored for North York. Other players who recorded assists for North York were Valadao Adam, Corey Kalk, Liam Kerins, and Taylor Pryce, who each chipped in one.

Adrian Ignagni made 55 saves for St. Michaels on 58 shots. The Buzzers avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of two power plays. Jason Pucciarelli recorded 47 saves for the Rangers. North York incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors and had no power play opportunities.
