St. Michaels downs North York in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

Stephen Pietrobon gave the St. Michaels Buzzers a 5-4 (OT) victory over the North York Rangers when he scored 3:56 into the extra period.

The win by St. Michaels broke a deadlock and gave the Buzzers a 2-1 advantage in the best of seven series.

St. Michaels got the win thanks to a great game by Pietrobon, who had two goals and one assist. Pietrobon scored the first of his two goals at 10:36 into the third period to make the score 4-3 St. Michaels. Jared Walsh assisted on the tally. Pietrobon's next tally made the score 5-4 St. Michaels with 16:04 left in. Troy Josephs provided the assist.

The Buzzers kept North York's goalie busy throughout the game, and Jason Pucciarelli made 54 saves on 59 shots.

St. Michaels also got points from Shane Conacher, who also racked up one goal and one assist. St. Michaels also got a goal from CJ Shugart as well. In addition, St. Michaels received assists from Cody Doiron, who had two and Jake Clements and Jake Evans, who each chipped in one.

The Rangers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three St. Michaels power plays. North York forced St. Michaels goalie Adrian Ignagni to work between the pipes, taking 90 shots.

The Rangers were helped by Liam Kerins, who grabbed one goal. Kerins scored 19:44 into the second period to make the score 3-3. Taylor Pryce assisted on the tally. North York additionally got points from Valadao Adam, who also had one goal and one assist and Corey Kalk, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Franco Loparco also scored for North York. Other players who recorded assists for North York were Patrick Piacentini, who had one and John Carpino, who had two.

The Buzzers' Ignagni stopped 86 shots out of the 90 that he faced. St. Michaels incurred 38 minutes in penalty time with four minors. North York incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
