The Kingston Voyageurs tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the Newmarket Hurricanes held on for a 3-2 victory.

Newmarket made the score 3-1 on a goal by Daniel Leavens at 19:43 in the second period, and Kingston got as close as 3-2 when Brett Du Puy scored 19:13 into the third period.

With the win, the Hurricanes evened the series at 2-2 in the best of seven showdown.

Elliott Burlon had a great game for Newmarket, netting two goals. Burlon's tallies came at 10:09 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and 9:35 into the second to make the score 2-1 Newmarket.

The Hurricanes kept the Voyageurs' goalie busy throughout the game, and Charlie Finn made 36 saves on 39 shots.
