Helena Bighorns had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-1 win over Yellowstone Quake. After the loss made the series score 2-0 in the best of five series, Yellowstone Quake faces elimination next time out. Kyle Baker was all over the ice for Helena Bighorns, as he tallied two goals in the win. Baker's tallies came on the power play at 7:45 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Helena Bighorns and 9:19 into the second to make the score 3-0 Helena Bighorns. Yellowstone Quake's power play was ineffective against Helena Bighorns' penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded. Helena Bighorns made Yellowstone Quake's netminders to work between the pipes, finishing with 40 shots and forcing 34 saves. Jared Schletty made 30 stops and Rocco Yapello made four. Helena Bighorns also got points from Corbin Belling, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Helena Bighorns included Dylan Webster, who had one and Ben Henne, who had two. In addition, Helena Bighorns received assists from Cody Blom, who had two and Brandon Rumble, Christian Axelson, Parker Olson, Devin Smith, Jacob Wolter, and Chris Andre, who contributed one a piece. Jett Salinas recorded 18 saves for Helena Bighorns. Helena Bighorns incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Yellowstone Quake incurred 26 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
