Valadao Adam had two goals and one assist to lead the North York Rangers to a 4-1 victory over the Buffalo Jr. Sabres. Adam's tallies came on the power play at 19:10 into the first period to make the score 2-0 North York and on the power play 44 seconds into the second to make the score 3-0 North York.After the loss made the series score 3-1 in the best of seven series, Buffalo faces elimination next time out. North York was led by goalie Jason Pucciarelli, who finished with 41 saves while allowing one goal. Pucciarelli managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.45 prior to the game. The Jr. Sabres' power play was ineffective against the Rangers' penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded. Buffalo was unable to stop North York from sending pucks towards the net, and the Rangers eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. North York capitalized on the Jr. Sabres' penalties, netting three goals while skating with a man advantage. North York additionally got points from Corey Kalk, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Michael Giacometti also scored for North York. In addition, North York received assists from Franco Loparco, who had one and Patrick Piacentini and John Carpino, who each chipped in two. Buffalo's offense rang up 42 shots on the Rangers' net. North York incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Parker Gahagen rejected 30 shots on goal for the Jr. Sabres. Buffalo incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
