The Buffalo Jr. Sabres' Alex Dagnal scored 6:15 into overtime to beat the North York Rangers, 5-4 (OT). The win moved Buffalo to down 2-1 in the best of seven series. The Jr. Sabres were sparked by Dagnal, who grabbed one goal. Buffalo forced North York goalie Jason Pucciarelli to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots. Buffalo also got points from Tyler Gjurich, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and Max Mikowski, who also registered one goal and one assist. Buffalo also got a goal from Ryan Schmelzer as well. In addition, Buffalo received assists from Ryan AP Stainer, Sean Federow, and Nolan Sheeran, who each chipped in one. The Rangers' offense rang up 33 shots on the Jr. Sabres' net. North York was led by Corey Kalk, who finished with one goal and one assist. Kalk scored on the power play 4:23 into the second period to make the score 2-1 North York. The Rangers had gotten the advantage when Buffalo's Dagnal was sent off for high sticking. Franco Loparco provided the assist. Valadao Adam also scored for North York. More assists for North York came via Taylor Pryce, who had two and Patrick Piacentini, Power Brody, Liam Kerins, and Michael Giacometti, who contributed one a piece. The Jr. Sabres' Parker Gahagen stopped 29 shots out of the 33 that he faced. Buffalo incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Pucciarelli recorded 33 saves for North York. The Rangers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
