The Chatham Maroons were firing on all cylinders against the Strathroy Rockets, and when the final buzzer sounded Maroons emerged with a 6-2 win.

The win by Chatham clinched the best of seven series at 4-2.

The Maroons got the win on the strength of a great game by Brennan Feasey, who had one goal and two assists. Feasey scored on the power play 13:16 into the first period to make the score 3-0 Chatham. Chatham had gotten the advantage when Strathroy's Adam Vandersluis was sent off for cross checking. Trevor Richardson assisted on the tally.

The Maroons made the Rockets' goaltenders to work in net, firing 38 shots and forcing 32 saves. Dalen Kuchmey made 25 stops and Gordie Weiss made seven.

Chatham also got points from Richardson, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Sean Myers, who also had one goal and one assist, and Blake Blondeel, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Connor Doran also scored for Chatham. Other players who recorded assists for Chatham were Morris Branden, who had one and Michael Verboom and Eric Palazzolo, who contributed two a piece.

Strathroy forced Chatham's goalies to work all game long, racking up 47 shots and forcing 45 saves. Darien Ekblad made 41 stops and Scott Tricker made four.

Strathroy also got a goal from Brett Dalton as well. In addition, Strathroy received assists from Mike Mandarelli and Stuart King, who each chipped in one.

The Maroons incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. The Rockets incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Strathroy ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Tyler Coleman was ejected from the game.
