The Centennial Cougars tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Eastview Lightning held on for a 3-2 victory.

Eastview made the score 3-0 on a goal by Mitchell Cerrato at 1:27 in the third period, and Centennial got as close as 3-2 when Colin Hughes scored 15:01 into the third period.

Cerrato had a great game for Eastview, netting two goals.

Ryan McNamara also scored for Eastview. In addition, Eastview received assists from John Snodgrass, who had one and Keith Muehlbauer, who had three.

The Cougars were helped by Ryan Meany, who racked up one goal. Meany scored on the power play 13:10 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Eastview. Kenny Sinna assisted on the tally.

Zachary Driscoll rejected 23 shots on goal for the Lightning.  Patrick Munson made 22 saves for Centennial on 24 shots. The Cougars avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored two goals off of zero power plays.
