The Niagara Falls Canucks had trouble finding ways to stop the Thorold Blackhawks, which beat Canucks, 4-1. Thorold evened the best of seven series at 3-3 and forced a deciding game seven. The Blackhawks were paced by Brendan Cullen, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Cullen scored 6:00 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Thorold. Matthew Hoszko provided the assist. Thorold's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Niagara Falls power plays. Thorold also got points from Brian Brosnan, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Mackenzie Mac Avoy, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Thorold also got a goal from Mark Arnone as well. Other players who recorded assists for Thorold were Adrian Copeland, who had two and Chris Goulet and Joe DiBiasi, who each chipped in one. Niagara Falls excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Canucks were led by Mitch McIntosh, who scored the team's only goal. McIntosh scored 14:46 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Thorold. Cole Vinnai picked up the assist. Vinny Merante rejected 23 shots on goal for the Blackhawks. Thorold incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Hunter Johnson made 21 saves for Niagara Falls on 25 shots. The Canucks incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
