Helena Bighorns got the win with help from a great game by Logan Hawgood, who had two goals and two assists. Helena Bighorns excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in seven chances. The Maulers were unable to stop Helena Bighorns from sending pucks towards the net, and Helena Bighorns eventually piled up 89 shots on goal. Helena Bighorns' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in three goals.
