Jett Salinas recorded a shutout against the Missoula Maulers Maulers as Helena Bighorns picked up a 5-0 win.

After the loss made the series score 2-0 in the best of five series, Missoula Maulers faces elimination next time out.

Helena Bighorns was led by Brandon Rumble, who registered one goal. Rumble scored 12:32 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Helena Bighorns. Damon Hanson assisted on the tally.

Helena Bighorns excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Maulers were unable to stop Helena Bighorns from sending pucks towards the net, and Helena Bighorns eventually piled up 51 shots on goal.

Helena Bighorns also had goals scored by Ben Henne, who had one and Corbin Belling, who had three. Other players who recorded assists for Helena Bighorns were Dillon Mershon, who had two and Theo Campe, Dylan Webster, Christian Axelson, and Parker Olson, who each chipped in one.

Missoula Maulers stifled Helena Bighorns' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Maulers forced Helena Bighorns goalie Salinas to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots.

Salinas rejected 31 shots on goal for Helena Bighorns. Helena Bighorns incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Cody Janzen recorded 46 saves for Missoula Maulers. The Maulers incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
