A hat trick by Alex Garon was the highlight in 73s' 7-4 win against the Wheatley Sharks.

Garon notched his first tally 4:09 into the first period. He then added goals at 6:10 into the first and at 18:27 into the second.

The win by the Essex 73s clinched the best of seven series at 4-0.

Essex kept Wheatley's goalie busy throughout the game, and Marc Tremblay made 24 saves on 31 shots.

Essex additionally got points from Jordan Brohman, who also finished with three goals and two assists. Matthew Hebert also scored for Essex. More assists for Essex came via Kevin Boggs, Adam Dunmore, and Aaron Thibert, who contributed one a piece and Blaise Baillargeon and Corey Beaulieu, who each chipped in two.
