The Lakefield Chiefs were firing on all cylinders against the Uxbridge Bruins, and when the final buzzer sounded Chiefs emerged with a 5-2 win. After the loss made the series score 3-1 in the best of seven series, Uxbridge faces elimination next time out. Derek Manley had two goals and one assist to lead Lakefield. Manley scored the first of his two goals at 13:49 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Lakefield. Jordan Walsh assisted on the tally. Manley's next tally made the score 5-2 Lakefield with 10:46 left in the third period. The Chiefs pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 32 penalty minutes. Lakefield's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven Uxbridge power plays. Lakefield additionally got points from Gregory Jesse, who also registered one goal and one assist. Curtis Bolton also scored for Lakefield. More assists for Lakefield came via Eric Shewell, who had one and Riley Campbell, who had two. The Bruins were helped by Matthew Allen, who tallied one goal. Allen scored 16:30 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Lakefield. Uxbridge also got a goal from Joey Vocino as well. In addition, Uxbridge received assists from Jarett Smith, who had one. Zach Wainman made 22 saves for the Chiefs on 24 shots. Lakefield registered one goal on five power play opportunities. Uxbridge's Brandon Francey stopped 22 shots out of the 27 that he faced. The Bruins incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
