Kerr leads Wenatchee over Jamestown, 5-2

Chris Kerr was all over the ice for the Wenatchee Wild, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Wenatchee's 5-2 win over the Jamestown Ironmen.

Kerr found the back of the net 11:49 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Wenatchee and again while on the power play 8:48 into the second to make the score 4-0 Wenatchee.

The win gave the Wild a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Wenatchee's offense rang up 32 shots on Jamestown's net. The Wild was effective with a man advantage, and put in two goals while on the power play.

Wenatchee additionally got points from Jacob Barber, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Joseph Sullivan, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Wenatchee also got a goal from Jono Davis as well. In addition, Wenatchee received assists from Dylan Abood, who had two, Max McHugh, who had three, and Chris Jones and Derick Kuchera, who contributed one a piece.

The Ironmen relied on a core group of players for most of their offense, as Ryan Doucet, Victor Johansson and Elliot Tisdale took 10 of the team's 16 shots.

Daniel Cesarz also scored for Jamestown. Other players who recorded assists for Jamestown were Tyler Dunagan, who had one.

Wenatchee's Robert Nichols stopped 14 shots out of the 16 that he faced. Joe Ballmer rejected 27 shots on goal for Jamestown. The Ironmen incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors and had no power play opportunities.
